Workers’ Compensation

“The Law & Regulation”

We will be using this blog to provide updated information from the lawmakers that continue to challenge us in many ways, especially in the last 2 years with the Coronavirus (aka Covid-19).

The impacts of COVID-19 continue to evolve, and we are now more focused on our health, safety, and wellbeing. You may be entitled to workers’ compensation if you contract COVID-19 at work whether you are in the office or working from home. However, you will need to prove you have contracted Covid-19 during the course of employment. For example, travelling to work by public transport.

WorkCover Authority in each relevant state is committed to ensuring all workers who contract COVID19 in the workplace receive timely and appropriate support. You can find out more by visiting each state’s WorkCover Authority website. Alternatively, please contact myWorkCover if you have any queries.
